Fall
….. the rusted leaves and surfaces as we head further into Fall.
Doris McCarthy from 1957, at her best when spending time on one of her iconic plein air trips, on this occasion to Haliburton, Ontario, in the fall, – this windswept watercolour. The lacy leaves, cut by time, weathered, filling the air and water with colour.
Marvelling at Cal Lane with a sheet of paper, weighed down by the rusted and torch cut piece of metal -a steel doily, imprinted onto the paper, like a rose window in a cathedral.
Two artists/ two sheets of paper- Amazing!
