Shoub has exhibited and been collected widely by both private and public collectors, including the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography, Ottawa, The Canada Council Art Bank, Ottawa. The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia organized a solo exhibition, Jaclyn Shoub: In Transit in 2005. Her work was also featured in the three-person exhibition (with WTG artists David Bierk and Sarah Nind) The Painted Photograph, organized and circulated nationally by The Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography in 2005- 2006.

Shoub has combined her interest in photo based work and painting to produce a substantial body of work that harnesses the intersection between the urban and rural landscape.

Shoub states about her recent work:

“My current work continues my investigation of the relationship between painting and photography.  The works focus on the architecture and landscape of the no-man’s land between city and countryside.  The transition, dislocation and isolation that I experience driving through this sprawling landscape is used in the work as a metaphor for change and resulting broader feelings of anxiety and uncertainty that reflect our current collective psyche.—– the final image is a distillation of what I consider to be the essence of this transitional landscape. In these works, the act of painting is used to control and alter the photographic image, and by extension, the landscape depicted within it.  These images are transformed into a new reality existing between both disciplines.”
